简介 Molecular mechanism of learning and memory, major depression, ischemic stroke and social behavior
Neuroscience becomes a hot area in life science in the last two decades. Since the world step into aging society, we have to deal with several severe neurological diseases to maintain normal brain function at the same time. Thus, learning the molecular mechanism of important physiological as well as pathological condition in the brain requires exquisite and extensive study in the future. Nevertheless, understanding the brain and revealing the basic mechanism of brain are undoubtedly fascinating and challenging, which evidently satisfies one's curiosity and in turn gives abundant pleasure to whom uncovering the mystery of the brain.
After I became an independent PI, my major research interests are learning and memory, major depression, ischemic stroke and social behavior. I focus on a number of important synaptic proteins, i.e., NMDA receptors, AMPA receptors, PSD95, Shp2. Especially, post-translational modification of these synaptic proteins in physiological and pathological conditions is the key area of my research. In our lab, we combine biochemistry, molecular biology, cell imaging, genetics and mouse behavior to uncover the molecular mechanism of neurological diseases.
